Day 01 – Arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and transfer to Darjeeling (Lapcheyjagat )-
Arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) & Transfer to Darjeeling – Our driver will be there to receive the Guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) – He will be assisting the guest for the forwarding journey to Darjeeling (100 Kilometers, 3 hours) – Situated at an elevation of 2123 meters / 70001 feet, the land of breathtaking beauty, amidst rolling tea gardens, crowned by the majestic Himalayas – This international destination is popularly known as the QUEEN OF THE HILLS – Jewel in the crown of the Eastern Himalayas with mesmerizing beauty offers spectacular views of the Mount Everest, Mount Kanchendzonga and the rest of spectacular Himalayan range – Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is one more attraction.
Please note that the itinerary here is different as we will not be heading towards Darjeeling Town but from Ghoom at 7405 feet altitude regarded as the highest railway station in the world .From Ghoom we take the west and move towards Lepchajagat which is 8 km or 20 min drive .If you are travelling to Darjeeling Via Mirik then you will have to pass Lepchajagat . It is just a perfect stay at the picturesque village with great nature views and Darjeeling town just 30 min away.Evening free to roam (Overnight stay at Lapchey )
Day 02 – Sightseeing at Jorpokhari/Simana View point/Tukrey(Video Available ) and back to Lapchey
Early morning breakfast -Next head towards Jorpokhari which is a DGHC bungalow for tourists to stay and is 15-20 min from Sukiapokhari a small town where you will lot of local products so you can do some shopping there . The meaning of the word Jorpokhari is related to a couple of lakes where “Jor” means “Twin” and “pokhari” means “Lake“. The road that leads to jorpokhari is between thick woods consisting of Juniper and Pine trees .The view of the snow capped Himalayas including Mt. Kanchenjunga is mesmerizing .It is a home of the most endangered amphibian Salamander (resembles the Lizard)Then move to Simana View Point and the word Simana means the border .This is an Indo Nepal border .The road is in India and the view area falls under Nepal .Next we will move towards Tukrey ,the zic zac road downhill would be a ride to be remembered and the best thing is wherever your eyes falls beauty is all the you will see .Tukrey is a river side and is a picnic spot for the locals which is well maintained . Orange farming is very popular and one of the homestays has all the antique collections which will revive your old memories .Drive back to Lapchey – (Overnight stay at Lapchey )
Day 03 – Sightseeing at Maneybhanjan / Lamey Dhura /Chitrey Monastery/ and back to Lapchey –
Early morning breakfast -Next you will head towards Maneybhanjan situated at an altitude of 6600ft above sea level and is mostly a base camp for the trekkers heading towards Sandaphu Phalut . Maneybhanjan provides a paranomic view of the glorious Kanchanjanga over Darjeeling Hills .Next on the way to Chitrey Monastery you will come across Lamey Dhura a small settlement with few huts this route is mostly for trekkers so the view is superb .The main attraction is the Chitrey Monastery which is 3Kms from Maneybhanjan , it is an old Buddhist Monastery with few huts and a local restaurant where you can take a break to get fresh and eat something . Drive back to Lapchey (Overnight stay at Lapchey)
Day 04 – Lapchey to Nepal boarder Sightseeing (Pashupati Market )
Early morning breakfast – Next you will head towards Pashupati Market is surprise element as it will be very difficult for you to believe that the other side of the gate is Nepal (Pashupati Market ). The Indian taxies are not allowed to enter , there is a Indo- Nepal check post where the visitors has to present his/her identity card .Surprisingly there is no entry fee to visit the other side .The market there is very cheap and if you are planning to buy clothes ,perfumes,local handicrafts ,electronic goods and other souvenirs then Pashupati Market of Mirik is a must visit .The distance to Pashupati market from the checkpost is 2kms .Back to Lapchey ,evening free to raom around (Overnight stay at Lapchey )
Day 05 – Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
At about 4:00 AM drive to Tiger Hills, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, War Memorial – After breakfast next – Tenzing Rock, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Lebong Race course, Ropeway, Gorkha Stadium, Gorkha handicraft, Tibetans Refugee center, Tea garden – lunch at hotel or on the way – Japanese Peace Pagoda, Natural History Museum, Ava Art Gallery, Lal Kothi, and Ganga Maiya Park bare sightseeing spot and can be visited as per the days program – Sightseeing places are dynamically set depending upon the road condition and time factors – it is not possible to visit all the places but the important ones are covered for the satisfaction of guest – Back to Lapchey (Overnight stay at Lapchey )
Day 05 – Darjeeling -Lapchey to Njp/ Bagdogra via Mirik
Drive to Siliguri, on the way to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) (120 kilometers, 2 ½ – 3 hours) – Morning breakfast – After breakfast transfer to It’s a two hours drive – Mirik is a quiet town between Siliguri and Darjeeling noted for its secluded charm, Beautiful Tea Gardens, Samendu Lake, Orange Orchards, Cardamom Plantation and its pleasant Climate –– Drive to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) /Siliguri – Guest are advised to start early and not to rush – Forwarding Journey.
